The Green Bay Family Medicine Residency invites you to rotate with our program!

Our program has the capacity to take a senior medical student for an “audition” rotation. Auditions are NOT required for us to consider your application for a residency position but are a great way for you to check out our program and clinical learning environment. We would prefer to take learners that have already successfully completed their core internal medicine and family medicine clerkship rotations at their home institution.

Our visiting medical student rotation consists of both outpatient and inpatient experiences. Students will spend 4 consecutive weeks as an “acting intern” on our inpatient service at St. Vincents. Acting interns will carry similar levels of responsibility as interns in our residency. You can expect to admit, follow, and discharge adult patients on our Family Medicine Inpatient Teaching Service. Students on our visiting rotation will also have the opportunity to have a half day of outpatient clinic each week in at our Prevea East Mason Primary residency site.

Interested students must apply at least 3 months in advance for a position as our hospital partner system (HSHS) will need to work with your school to create an institutional agreement to allow you to rotate.

At this time our residency program does not have housing available for visiting medical students. Most of our visiting students stay with friends or family in the area. There are some excellent extended stay hotels in the area.

Note: Due to liability insurance reasons, you must be actively enrolled in medical school to rotate with us. We cannot take rotating students that have previously graduated.

Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
