Other Medical Experience: Before entering medical school, I worked as a center supervisor at a plasma donation center and as a phlebotomist. Over the past decade, I have also volunteered extensively in hospitals throughout the Green Bay area. These roles provided hands-on experience in patient care and allowed me to stay connected with and give back to the community I call home..

Why did you choose the MCW-Prevea Family Medicine program? I chose the MCW-Prevea Family Medicine program because of the strong sense of connection I feel to this community. Raised on a small family farm in Reedsville, WI, I later moved to Green Bay to complete my undergraduate degree in Human Biology at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, followed by my medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin–Green Bay.

After more than a decade living and working in the region, my family and I proudly call this area home. During my time here, I’ve had the privilege of caring for diverse and underserved populations throughout Green Bay and its surrounding rural communities. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for the resilience, compassion, and close-knit values that define this region—and they’ve solidified my commitment to remaining here and serving the people who’ve shaped my journey.

Family medicine aligns perfectly with my passion for building long-term, meaningful relationships with patients and caring for individuals across all stages of life. I’m especially interested in women’s health, mental health, and chronic disease management. I’m excited to continue growing within a program that prioritizes both education and community involvement.

Interests/Hobbies Outside of Medicine: Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my husband, son, dog, and extended family. I enjoy being outdoors—walking my dog, hiking, biking, and staying active. I also enjoy beach-combing along the lake-shores of Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, always on the lookout for unique rocks and treasures.

Why did you choose the MCW-Prevea Family Medicine program? It’s always the little things that you notice. Every program can talk about good stats, a great place, rotations etc. But people you are going to spend the next 3 years with, get to define a lot of your outlook on life and the field itself. It touched my how considerate the program was- whether it was having the second look virtually, or the interview being more of a conversation than something formal. I could see myself amongst people who I wanted to be mentored by- both personally and professionally. I’m very interested in analyzing access to healthcare. A community program with focus on outreach is exactly what I wanted to explore.

As a relatively new program, I value the collaborative environment that encourages resident input and curriculum development while having the support of faculty and leadership. This program offers the flexibility to pursue my interests within family medicine – particularly in addiction medicine and underserved care. I am grateful to be part of a program where these passions are actively supported and integrated into the training experience.
